Submit your files as Flattened, High-Res JPGs or TIFs
in ProPhoto or Adobe RGB color space

Rule of thumb is your Print Size at 300dpi

Poster Art and Line Art? Submit your Vector Files and PDFs Flattened in CMYK

Don't know what any of that means? No problem.
We'll handle it all for you, just send us the best quality photo you have.

Can I crop and prep the image myself?

It is preferable that you do your cropping ahead of time - that way you are in complete control of your photo composition. Leave the color to us.

Can you crop my image for me?

You may also ask us to crop the image to look it's best, and we'll handle every detail.
We will crop your image to work with the proportions of the print size you've selected.

You may also request that we email you a digital proof so that you can see the crop before printing.

I have a panoramic image, what do I do?

We can create any size print, from 5" x 5" all the way up to (44 inches x 20 feet)
Our price structure is based on square footage [ (H x W), divide by 144 = Final Square Footage ]
i.e. 24"x 50" panoramic print = (24x50) / 144 = 8.333 square feet.
That is the same square footage as a 30x40.
You would choose a 30x40 as your size, and note that you want your image printed as a Panoramic.

If you have any custom crops or questions, please submit a question using our CONTACT FORM

What if something is wrong with my image quality or order?

Every order and file is reviewed before printing.
If something is amiss, we will contact you before printing your image(s).

Can you convert my color image into b&w or sepia for me?

YES. On your order form, simply request that we apply a B&W or Sepia Treatment to your photo.
We will convert color images into either black and white images or sepia images for you using our custom
B&W filters to make your image look it's best.

Can I choose to Add a Border?

YES! all prints come trimmed to size unless a border is requested. You may select up to a 1" white border for no extra charge. There are some restrictions based on our media sizes, however… we'll contact you if there is a size issue.

NOTE:
Adding a white border is very handy if you are displaying and/or selling a print without a frame, or having the print custom matted and framed.

Keep in mind if you buy a ready-made frame, you typically will not require an extra border.
Make sure to measure!

WHAT is a "GICLEE"?

The word giclée (pronounced "gzhee-clay") is based on the French word gicleur, which means "nozzle" and the verb form "gicler" means "to squirt, spurt, or spray". Although the term was long associated with canvas reproduction, each and every print we produce with our pigment inkjet printers is technically a Giclée!

What is your return policy?

Pixels & Ink Customer Satisfaction Guarantee –
1. Our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee ensures that every item you purchase at www.pixelsandink.us meets your high standards or you can return it for a replacement or refund. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 14 Days of receipt and once we are able to review the print against the file you have supplied and deemed any discrepancy, will provide a free replacement of the product. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

2. Re: Customer-Supplied Images:
a) Customers uploading images (photos and art) electronically (through website, email, and/or other transfer method) do so knowing the color and/or brightness on *your* monitor or screen vs. our *color calibrated* monitors may differ. We aim to print only the best quality image for you. If we see an issue with color/clarity (for instance, too dark, too light, or a noticeable color shift) our policy is to check with the customer before altering the image, unless instructed to do so. If the color or clarity, etc are very far off from customer's expectations, a mutual agreement may be made for replacement, based on, but not limited to, our review of the 1) file  2) circumstances 3) customer expectations.

[example: your monitor is way too bright! and your edits come across dark, maybe moody. If your expectations of the image were to be lighter, at our discretion we may reprint at no charge for you. If, however, the file 'looks good' on our end and no further instructions for edits, we reserve the right to require 50%-100% reproduction payment for replacement]

b) Art Reproduction:
We offer High-End Scans and Digital Capture in-house for flat prints, flat art copy, prints, and art pieces of all sizes. Customers wishing to forego our Digitizing Service (for instance, photographing a painting by themselves) take responsibility for any and all color, lightness, darkness, and/or clarity issues when reproducing artwork. We are happy to reproduce your artwork on many types of media, but DO NOT GUARANTEE COLOR OR CLARITY WHEN UTILIZING CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED IMAGES OF ARTWORK.

Replacement or refund process:

  1. Contact Pixels & Ink customer service at: info@pixelsandink.us or 775-971-4200
  2. Customer service will determine if you will need to return the product, or if in the case of product damage, photos of the damaged product and of the original packaging may be adequate.
  3. We will provide you with the mailing address for which to return the product. Returned products must be in the condition you received them and in the original box and/or packaging.
  4. Once your return is received and inspected your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within seven business days. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional two to 10 business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your account.
  5. If a replacement has been requested, the new product will be ordered prior to receipt of the returned product, with expedited production of the replacement as our goal.
  6. Upon inspection of product PIXELS & INK WILL DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THE PRODUCT IS DEEMED RETURNABLE, REPLACEABLE, AND/OR REFUNDABLE.
  7. PRODUCTS MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN THE 14-DAY RETURN POLICY TO RECEIVE A REFUND. ITEMS RETURNED AFTER 14-DAYS MAY BE (AT OUR DISCRETION) FIXED, REPLACED, OR DENIED.

Copyright Info:

A photograph or piece of artwork is copyright protected from the moment it is created.
This means that even if you purchase a print or digital file from your visual artist,
you need to talk to them about making reproductions from that item.

When you upload an image file, you are telling Pixels & Ink that you have full reproduction rights, that we have the right to reproduce your uploaded image, and that we cannot be held accountable for any copyright violation.

How do I know if an Image is Copyrighted?

Purchasing a print or digital file from a Photographer or Artist does not mean you have purchased the copyright. Photographs and art pieces are protected from the moment of creation under the Federal Copyright Act of 1976.

Unless you have permission from the visual artist, you can't copy, distribute, publicly display, reprint
or reproduce artwork or photographs. Copyright infringements, or reproducing photos without permission, can result in civil and criminal penalties.
